Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell has been a chef and television presenter in the US and an instructor at Institute of Culinary Education. Burrell hosts her own Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef as well as co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Her signature spiky blonde hair and her pumped-up appearance, Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of restaurant dishes and reveals simple, easy-to-learn techniques for home cooks in her Food Network series Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Chef Burrell was employed for a time in New York at top restaurants and studied the Italian culinary practices and the geography. Additionally, she competed as Iron Chef America on Food Network. Burrell is a native of the Upstate and grew up living in New York State's Upstate, developed an early passion for cooking. Following her graduation with an English and Communication diploma at Canisius College in Buffalo NY she pursued her interest in the business of restaurant by enroling in The Culinary Institute of America. The Culinary Institute of America is a wonderful learning experience. I just couldn't get enough pleasure from it. Following graduation, Burrell spent one year learning at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and working in the Umbrian restaurant La Taverna del Lupo as well as Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, an Michelin-starred restaurant. She gained a deeper knowledge of Italian food and culture throughout her time in Italy and this has affected her style of cooking. Burrell has been a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board to improve the lives of children who face challenges. Additionally, she is a Juvenile Research Foundation celebrity ambassador who promotes awareness of children with diabetes. As a speaker, Burrell is on the road to share her passion for food as well as her career in the culinary field. Anne was always grateful that she had the opportunity to share her love of and her passion for cooking, with people around the world.
